Commended Benson Group Claim Consistency Award

Benson Group, headquartered in Bardon, Leicestershire, finished runner-up yet again in the 2008 PrintWeek Company of the Year - the fifth consecutive year that the company has reached the final of this prestigious category.
The PrintWeek Awards 2008 took place at the Grosvenor House, Park Lane, where some 1,000 members of the UK's leading print businesses assembled for an exciting evening of awards and entertainment. Guest presenter Jimmy Carr kept the crowd laughing as the winners were announced. The final category of the evening - the PrintWeek Company of the Year - was contested between a short-list of five, with Benson Group being commended and York Mailing winning the award.
"Whilst it would have been a real thrill to win the award at the fifth attempt, we can at least claim a consistency award, having now reached the final on five consecutive occasions," said Mark Kerridge, Managing Director of Benson Group. "We have to take pride in the fact that we are seen year-in, year-out as a top performing print business, even though our focus extends way beyond the printing process itself. There are some 12,000 print companies in this country, so for us to regularly be seen as one of the top two in the UK is quite an accolade for the whole team."
Environmental issues have to be at the top of the agenda for the customer and for the packaging producer. At Benson Group we believe that cartonboard represents the most environmentally friendly form of packaging available for both food and pharmaceutical product.
