New Sales Manager for Medica Packaging

Benson Group has announced the appointment of Sarah Serlenga as Sales Manager for its Medica Packaging business, based in Crewe. With this appointment the pharmaceutical and healthcare packaging specialist has filled a key role in the business as Medica look forward to growth in the UK and Europe.
Sarah brings with her a wealth of experience, having been involved in sales to the pharmaceutical market for many years. Most recently she was Sales Manager for Europlaz Technologies, selling injection moulding services for medical devices. Her extensive experience in the print sector includes sales roles with MeadWestvaco and CCL Labels.
Commenting on her appointment, Sarah said: "It was a great delight to receive a telephone call from Peter Brassington at Medica offering me the position. I have wanted to work for the company for many years. They have an excellent reputation within the industry, and are seen as the "crème-de-la-crème" of packaging printers in the pharmaceutical market.
"I am looking forward to selling the services of Medica Packaging, and also the capabilities of the Benson Group as a whole. There is a significant amount of knowledge and expertise in carton production within the group that can benefit customers from all sectors."
Commenting on the appointment, Peter Brassington, General Manager of Medica Packaging, said: "Sarah's experience in the carton, leaflet and label sectors of the pharmaceutical packaging market made her the ideal candidate to fill the sales management role. I am convinced that her experience and knowledge will be tremendous assets for us as we look to further expand our business."
Environmental issues have to be at the top of the agenda for the customer and for the packaging producer. At Benson Group we believe that cartonboard represents the most environmentally friendly form of packaging available for both food and pharmaceutical product.
