Benson Group Entry Highly Commended
Willie's Delectable Cacao 80g range
Whilst the 2010 UK Packaging Awards, as staged by Packaging News, didn't quite live up to the heady evenings of some previous years with Benson Group sweeping up the top awards, the company was delighted to receive a commendation this year for its work on Willie's World Class Cacao chocolate products.
Benson Group narrowly missed out on the top spot but was delighted to collect a Commendation for its work on this new 80g chocolate bar range. The brand has developed a range of luxury chocolate, as has been featured during the course of 2010 on Channel Four's Willie's Wonky Chocolate Factory staring company founder Willie Harcourt-Cooze.
The judges said: "Benson Group stepped up admirably to the task of creating high-end packaging for the true chocoholic consumer with a pack that incorporated dark, rich colours, spot gloss detailing, embossing and foil blocking."
One judge described the pack as "compact and refined", while another praised the combination of print techniques that "deliver a subtle, classy and premium brand".
Environmental issues have to be at the top of the agenda for the customer and for the packaging producer. At Benson Group we believe that cartonboard represents the most environmentally friendly form of packaging available for both food and pharmaceutical product.
